Safety edges, also known as bump strips, are used to protect dangerous closing edges at automatic doors and gates, shutters, vehicle doors or in the machinery industry. Depending on the force and speed of the moving part a suitable rubber profile has to be selected from Bircher Reglomat's extensive range. The range also includes NBR rubber for machine tool applications and profiles with single or dual sealing lips.

As Motion29 Limited is a Bircher Reglomat approved manufacturer we use only Bircher Reglomat's safety components that have been developed and certified to meet today's European Safety Standards. The safety edges are manufactured to your specification and are typically shipped within 1 to 2 weeks from confirmation of order.

ELE Style

Is the original range developed by Bircher for both the industrial machine and door market. Within the range we have EPDM rubber, NBR rubber for harsh machine environments and PVC for simple switching applications. The profile sizes start at 13 mm through to 122 mm tall. Download datasheet.

Click-Line

Click-Line profiles are designed for easy and fast mounting of the safety edge. Thanks to its special foot design it can be installed directly into the aluminium mounting rail - just click and go! The range offer profile heights from 30 mm to 65 mm with double sealing lips available on two of the sizes. Download datasheet.

Cover-Line

Side impact as a vehicle passes through a sliding gate can result in the safety edge being dislodged from the mounting rail. To combat this problem the Cover-Line uses two feet on either side of the mounting rail, this gives it great resistance to side impact and sensitivity to side loads. There are three sizes in the range 55, 80 and 105 mm tall and all 40 mm wide. Download datasheet.

S-Line

The smallest profiles in the Bircher range are ideal for a wide variety of applications including passenger doors, lift tables, barriers and automatic steps. The range includes a self adhesive option as well as the traditional aluminium mounting rail and click style foot. In this range the contact strip uses a silicon rubber design with internal conductive rubber for enhanced durability. Download datasheet.
