Pressure Waves Switches & Edges
These safety and comfort edges are used mainly on passenger doors in bus, coach and train applications. A small change in pressure within the system is detected by the pressure wave switch, so providing feedback to the door control system. Download datasheet.

Pressure Waves Switches
The pressure wave switches are available in three different series - D1, D2 and D3. The compressed volume of air within the signal sensor or safety edge is transferred via a connecting hose to the switch. The diaphragm in the switch is defected by the rise in pressure thus opening (or closing) the electrical contact.

Pressure Wave Sensors (Edges)
These are custom manufactured from a rubber profile to the required length and are available in several different heights to suit the application. Deformation of this profile causes immediate compression of an air volume inducing a pressure wave impulse to the switch via the connecting hose. |
